MHS and MHU follow Figures H4.6.6.1 and H5.6.6.1: 3.6 m at a 1 m setback, rising to 6.9 m at 2 m, then a 45° plane. Separate 8 m MHS and 11 m MHU rolling-height references are shown at the building point. The average-ground-level method and roof exceptions are not assessed; see the expandable height note for details.

Worked example: For MHS on level ground, within 20 m of the frontage, the AHIRB envelope is 6.9 m at a 2 m boundary setback and 7.9 m at 3 m. Different ground levels are accounted for in the result.

Confirm the applicable baseline before using the result. THAB under H6.6.7 differs within and beyond 20 m of frontage; it excludes lower-intensity-zone boundaries under H6.6.8.
